Site and Facilities Management

JDA own and operate a national network of Transmission Tower Sites, plus a Digital Terrestrial Television network in the sub regions of New Zealand.

JDA manages all its transmission sites and stations of various sizes and complexities throughout New Zealand, as well as sites and technical facilities for third-party owners.  The Sky Tower and NewCall Tower in Auckland, the Whangarei District Council's Mt Parahaki Station, and Ruru station in the Waikato region are examples of different third-party property sites that JDA manages.  [Photo: top of Sky Tower]

Property Leasing

JDA is often approached by the industry to find suitable premises for particular applications.

JDA can offer assistance to building-owners who wish to earn additional revenue from renting out idle space on their rooftops to such telecommunications tenants. In some cases, rooftop rentals contribute as much as 10% to the total revenues obtained from leasing the office space.

Some of the key areas where JDA can assist property owners with implementing transmission sites on their infrastructure:

  • Marketing
  • Rental Evaluation
  • Site Design
  • Oversee site installation
  • Site Optimisation
  • Site Maintenance
  • Interference Analysis
  • Radiation Safety Limits
  • Independent Co-site Negotiations

While tall buildings are often sought after because of their superior view, shorter buildings are often useful too, especially if they are built atop a natural ridge or have a view into an area of significant coverage improvement, and thus provide an operator benefit.

Using JDA to manage your building sites also puts your properties on our list of eligible prospects - for further future revenue earning opportunities.
